This extra certification and validation of diplomas together with the explicit commitment to the Code of Ethics will give you an advantage when applying for jobs in Luxembourg.<\/li>\n<li>be included in the register of certified psychologists \/ psychotherapists. (The pre-bologna diplomas are advised according to the pre-bologna rules). Your degree must be registered with the National Register of Higher Education Degrees (except for recognized degrees from BENELUX and baltic states). See also:\u00a0\u00a0[<a href=\"https:\/\/mesr.gouvernement.lu\/en\/demarches\/reconnaissance-academique.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Registre des Titres d&#8217;Enseignement Sup\u00e9rieur<\/a>].<\/p>\n<p>Please note that some distance learning certificates will not recognised by the SLP!<\/p>\n<p><strong>2)<\/strong>\u00a0formal commitment to abide by the SLP&#8217;s Code of Ethics [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.slp.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/ethical_code.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">French version<\/a>];<\/p>\n<p><strong>3)<\/strong> when accepted as active member, payment of annual membership fee of 75 \u20ac (30 \u20ac for retired members).\u00a0Paid contributions from 1st October of the current year are valid until 31st December of the following year (15 months).<\/p>\n<p>Please be aware that communication within the SLP will mainly be in Luxemburgish, French and German (official languages in Luxembourg)<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.slp.lu\/en\/membership\/\" target=\"_self\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRegister here\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<p>* following documents\u00a0<b><strong>must<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0be enclosed with your application. Only\u00a0<b><strong>complete<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0applications will be processed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a copy of the university degrees in psychology (<strong>Bachelor + Master<\/strong>\u00a0in Psychology, respectively Pre-Bologna License, Candidature, etc. (undergraduate), Master&#8217;s degree, etc. (postgraduate).\u00a0If your diplomas do not contain information on the ECTS volume, you must enclose an academic transcript of your courses.<\/li>\n<li>a certified translation of diplomas awarded in languages other than D, FR, GB and L<\/li>\n<li>your registration in the national register of higher education diplomas (MESR) (niveau 7 du cadre luxembourgeois des qualifications)<\/li>\n<li>your signed consent [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.slp.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023-ethics-consent-form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download<\/a>] confirming that you will abide by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.slp.lu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/ethical_code.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SLP Code of Ethics<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Note: registered psychotherapists need to include the &#8220;Autorisation d&#8217;exercer du Minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please allow a processing time around 4 to 6 weeks, if supporting documentation is correct and complete.<\/p>\n\t\n<h2>Honory membership:<\/h2>\n<p>The distinction honorary membership may be awarded to individuals, who have provided significant financial and\/ or moral support or have made significant contributions to the advancement of psychology as a profession or contributed to the advancement of psychology in the academic setting.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to make an active contribution to the advancement of psychology as a profession, please contact our secretariat.<\/p>\n\t<h2>FAQ<\/h2>\n<h3>Why does the SLP check all my diplomas before I can become an active member?<\/h3>\n<p>The purpose of this strict measure is to guarantee each patient\/client of an active member registered in SLP that the latter is in possession of adequate training in psychology.<\/p>\n<h3>Does SLP admit students for membership?<\/h3>\n<p>Unfortunately, membership as student is not supported.
