NUMSPACE PhD candidate – Job Description

Topic:  The relation between numerical and visuo-spatial processes studied by fMRI

Methods: fMRI, behavioral testing

Population: Healthy young adults and children

Aim: Characterize the relation between visuo-spatial and numerical processes

What the person has to do:

  • Participate in paradigm design of fMRI experiments
  • Implement and analyze experimental results (fMRI and behavior)
  • Interpret and present results as scientific publication

What the person has to display:

  • Master degree in study domain related to Cognitive Neurosciences (Psychology, Biology, Medical)
  • Interest in neuronal basis of numerical and spatial cognition
  • Skills in and/or high motivation for developing skills in using computer programs for statistical analysis of fMRI and behavioral data
  • Skills in and/or high motivation for developing skills in using computer programs for experimental design set-up
  • High motivation to learn and intellectual curiosity
  • Fluent in English
  • Good social skills to work in a research team
