My approach is relational, reflective and developmentally informed, with particular attention to the individual experiences of parents, infants and families. I am especially interested in the transition to parenthood, parent-infant relationships, and the emotional and relational processes that shape family life during pregnancy, infancy and early childhood.

My perspective is informed by psychodynamic thinking, developmental psychology and parent-infant observation, alongside specialist training in perinatal and infant mental health. I place particular importance on prevention and early intervention, and on understanding both the parent’s experience and the infant’s developing capacities and communication.

My clinical and research experience also informs a sensitive, evidence-based approach that recognises each family’s individual circumstances, strengths and needs.

Personal contribution

I am a psychologist and doctoral researcher in Psychology at the University of Luxembourg, with a particular interest in perinatal and parent-infant mental health, early child development, parental well-being and family relationships.

My clinical experience includes a year within the Kensington & Chelsea Perinatal Mental Health Service (Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust), where I provided supervised psychological assessment and psychotherapeutic support to parents and infants during pregnancy and up to two years after birth, as part of a multidisciplinary team. This experience strengthened my particular interest in the transition to parenthood, the developing parent-infant relationship, and the emotional experiences that can accompany pregnancy and early family life.

I hold an MSc with Distinction in Early Child Development and Clinical Applications from University College London (UCL), which provided a thorough grounding in early child development, from the prenatal period through the first five years of life, and in how these early experiences and relationships can shape later development. The programme integrated developmental, psychoanalytic and other clinical perspectives with neuroscience, research and clinical observation. As part of the programme, I completed two years of weekly parent-infant observation alongside a supervised clinical placement.

My further specialist training includes perinatal and infant mental health and training in the Neonatal Behavioural Assessment Scale (NBAS), with a focus on understanding infant behaviour, communication and early parent-infant relationships. I am particularly interested in using this knowledge preventively and in early intervention, helping parents recognise their baby's individual capacities and behavioural cues, understand how their baby communicates, and support the developing relationship between parent and infant.

Alongside my clinical background, my doctoral research examines parental well-being, early relationships and family adaptation in the context of childhood disability and chronic illness. My work brings together clinical, developmental and research perspectives to understand how parents and families adapt across different stages of their child's development.

My approach is relational, developmentally informed and attentive to each family's individual circumstances. I place particular importance on creating a thoughtful and non-judgemental space in which parents can explore both the rewarding and the more difficult or ambivalent aspects of pregnancy, parenthood and family life.

I work in Greek, English and French.
